The Tale of Two Fire Engines

Here’s short video about Mercy Corp and the amazing stuff they do…
For our machine to be truly photogenic…she’s going to need a proper wash! In this video Jon, Edd and Marco got the hose out and gave her a thorough scrub-down.
Alright, alright….I know we’ve been rambling on about the history, parts and beauty of our Green Goddess…though all you really wanted to see was how she rollzzz. So we finally got around to filming a test drive…yeah you heard me…a real test drive!
Edd’s on the wheel, Jonny’s doing most of the talking and Jonny’s sister Izzy is playing camera woman for the day.
Although the Goddess is by modern standards really quite simple (mechanically), she is still a beautiful piece of engineering with many interesting features. In this video, Jonny takes you through the Goddess’s key functioning parts. Enjoy!
We could’ve chosen a plethora of different vehicles to do this rally in. After all the rules specify that as long as it has an engine no bigger than 1L OR that it is an emergency vehicle, it can be almost anything! In this video, Jonny takes us through the many options….
Now that we have our amazing Green Goddess, we need to put in a little TLC to get her up to speed and in top condition for the rally. You can follow all these related posts under ‘Restoration Progress’ in the Categories section.
There was a huge/massive/crazy big fire in the woods near Jon’s house…and it just so happened we had the perfect vehicle to put it out and save all those woodland animals from certain death….
It’s been real hard work tracking down a Green Goddess that’s not only in good condition but going for a good price….but at last we’ve got our speed machine everyone! And she’s a beauty!
We’ll put up more pictures in a few days, as we’re working hard on getting her to look the part.
